Asphalting progressing project-wide

Despite unfavourable weather conditions during recent months, the project team has pressed on, with plenty of final asphalt surfacing placed.

Temporary overnight closures of the motorway on and off-ramps are progressing steadily in Deagon and Bracken Ridge, with final asphalt surfacing placed successfully on five on and off-ramps in this area. During November, asphalting is set to continue, particularly between Deagon and Bracken Ridge. Ongoing intermittent ramp closures will be required at night in this area to facilitate the works.

In addition, there will be night time temporary traffic detours of the Gateway Motorway northbound lanes between Depot Road, Deagon, and Bracken Ridge Road, Bracken Ridge, between mid-November and mid-December, to allow final asphalting and finishing works to be undertaken on this section of the motorway.

Local residents and motorists are encouraged to stay up-to-date with all traffic changes scheduled as part of the project by regularly checking the QLDTraffic website or phoning the QLDTraffic team on 13 19 40 for updates.

The project team sincerely thanks the local community and road users for the patience shown during these important weekend works.
