Motorway back up to speed

Speed limits on the newly widened Gateway Motorway lanes between Nudgee and Deagon have been raised to their final posted speed limits.

The motorway speed limit has been raised to 100km/hour in both directions, with a 90km/hour limit on a short curved section at Bracken Ridge. The northbound curve lanes have been raised to 90km/hour, southbound curve lanes will temporarily remain at 80km/hour, until final works to this section have been completed in the coming weeks, when the speed limit will be raised to 90km/hour.

The project is very near to overall construction completion, with final works to complete the off-road shared pathway from Nudgee to Bracken Ridge, and on the local road connections at Depot Road, Deagon, progressing well.

The shared pathway is expected to be opened in conjunction with overall project completion in March 2019, weather and construction conditions permitting.
